2012 - The circle of communication
Wednesday, 26 October 2011
What, might you ask, is the circle of communication?Well it is my own phrase for describing what I and my clients must achieve when formulating marketing plans for 2012.
Let me explain...
Communication has become a circle of opportunity. Advertising in print, advertising online, ppc, PR, exhibitions, e-news, websites, online social networking, offline face-to-face networking, e-cards, e-mails, e-by- gum (no I'm not from Yorkshire..)
This year I have felt the opportunity was to sell me any of these parts of a circle via very pleasant people dedicated to one part of that circle.
Next year I'm in control. I am determined to use the whole circle by speaking to a single contact and getting the maximum from each client's budget. I know the people I want to reach are in that circle but they may all have their own favourite point of entry. It doesn't matter, I'm ready for them!
Oh and then there are mobile devices... but that's for another rant!
How's your year been?
Honeypotfuls of Christmas Spirit
Thursday, 6 October 2011

It’s no secret that our favourite charity is Honeypot Children’s Charity. Based at Honeypot House, a 7-acre funspot in the New Forest, it provides play-breaks and ongoing support to vulnerable children and young carers, encouraging them to be carefree again, relieved of responsibilities beyond their years.
Obviously, Christmas is THE time of year for children and we lighten Honeypot’s seasonal load by organising all their promotional material. This includes the design and production of their autumn Regional Update Newsletter, and all the flyers, posters, tickets and programmes to promote their Carol Concert – scheduled for the 5th of December this year.
It’s always a happy occasion – with a warming tipple to hasten in the Christmas spirit – so, if you haven’t done so already, why not diary the 5th and join us Honeypotters at Romsey Abbey in helping fund fun and freedom for deserving children – it’s the only break they get.
